Sun protection (SPF)
If there's one non-negotiable in skincare, it's this. Daily sun protection does more for how your skin looks over time than any other product — full stop.
Why it matters most
The majority of what we think of as ‘skin ageing’ — lines, pigmentation, loss of firmness, uneven tone — is driven by cumulative sun exposure. That makes daily SPF the most powerful preventive step there is, and, in Australia, essential.
It also protects every other investment you make: there's little point resurfacing, brightening or firming skin if it isn't protected afterwards.
What to look for
Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen (it protects against both UVA and UVB) of at least SPF 30, and ideally SPF 50+ for daily use in the Australian sun. Both mineral and modern chemical filters can be excellent — the best sunscreen is genuinely the one you'll wear every day.
For pigmentation especially, this is the ingredient that keeps results looking their best.
How to use it
Apply it every morning as the last step of your skincare, and use enough — most people apply too little. Reapply across the day if you're outdoors, sweating or swimming.
We'll happily recommend a sunscreen that suits your skin as part of any plan — it's the foundation everything else is built on.

Common questions
Why is daily sunscreen so important?
Most visible skin ageing — lines, pigmentation, loss of firmness — is driven by cumulative sun exposure. Daily SPF is the single most effective preventive step, and it protects the results of every treatment.
What SPF should I use daily?
A broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30, and ideally SPF 50+ for daily use in the Australian sun. The best one is the one you'll actually wear every day.
Do I need sunscreen indoors or on cloudy days?
UVA passes through cloud and windows, so daily use is wise year-round — especially if you're near windows or driving. Reapply when you're outdoors.
